Description
“What’s next after high school?” is a question many students have. Choosing between relaxing, working, or continuing on with more education is usually what students consider. If you’re an educator or counselor helping to guide students as they make this decision, join Take Charge Today (TCT) for an engaging session featuring activities from our “Preparing, Planning, and Paying for Higher Ed” lessons. Attendees will explore preparing for higher ed by evaluating time management and study habits, complete the “Thinking About My Career Pathway” activity, act as Academic Advisors for someone planning to attend college or a trade school, learn about consequences of defaulting on a student loan, perform a scholarship search, and more. All of the session's activities are designed to help students make decisions about their post-high school plans and understand the benefits and costs of different choices. You’ll leave this session ready to assist students in this process.
