Description

The teacher and faculty shortage within CTE continues to be one of the biggest challenges facing our field. One strategy for addressing this challenge is to recruit candidates who may not have previously considered CTE as a career option, particularly individuals from underrepresented racial and ethnic backgrounds. This session will provide an overview of strategies that can be used at the state and local levels to increase diversity related to CTE educator recruitment and to support diverse educators once they are in the profession. We will also preview new resources on this topic from ACTE and Advance CTE.
