Description

Participants in this session will learn about CYBER.ORG’s free library of CTE courses and how to implement those curricula in the classroom. Content developers will showcase the content, which include support for CompTIA's IT Fundamentals, Network+, and Security+ credentials. Each course contains dozens of lessons, complete with teacher notes, presentation materials, guided notes, and quizzes that cover all CompTIA objectives. In partnership with the Department of Homeland Security, CYBER.ORG''s CTE courses are designed for classrooms in grades 6-12 at no cost to educators/schools. Aligned to cover all of CompTIA''s test objectives, these courses are aimed at preparing students to become workforce-ready by exploring the problems faced by real-world IT professionals.This session will demonstrate how teachers can access the materials, provide an overview of the yearlong courses, and show how to implement the curriculum into specific classroom situations.
