Description

The Central Westmoreland Career and Technology Center (CWCTC) is committed to providing bridges to support students with barriers to employment who are transitioning from high school to the workforce. To achieve this goal the CWCTC has modeled its student service offerings to parallel supports provided by the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation. As an approved service provider the CWCTC delivers instruction, provides job development, and supported employment services to its students and county as a whole. This has not only improved student outcomes but established a model of reimbursement for services that sustain and grow our offerings. Attendees will learn about the best practices being implemented at CWCTC and the positive outcomes that are being realized for its students. Additionally, a step-by-step process for launching services as an approved provider will be shared.
