Description

Are you looking to include neurodiverse students in your programs? Do you already have students with autism that you want to engage more and prepare for a career in CTE? This panel of speakers will help you do just that. Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation (MEAF) will moderate this panel of innovative and creative nonprofits changing the way people think about neurodiversity. You’ll learn how Aspiritech remotely trains young adults with autism to work in QA and software testing. Blue Star Recyclers will share how to partner with schools and businesses to successfully prepare students and employers for an inclusive workforce. Teaching the Autism Community Trades (TACT) will show how skilled these students are as they learn everything from welding to cybersecurity. Finally, Uniquely Abled Project will highlight students trained to become CNC operators around the country. You’ll learn how the future of CTE and the workforce should include neurodiversity and how you can better recruit, engage, and connect students with successful careers.
