Description
In 2022, Michigan became the 14th state to sign registered apprenticeship agreements for teachers with the USDOL. This session will share the steps that were taken to create a seamless pipeline into teaching utilizing CTE Education and Training programs, Early Middle College programs, and strong relationships with state and federal labor organizations. Apprenticeship can also be utilized to prepare CTE teachers, and that model will be shared in this session as well. As a local control state without a state apprenticeship agency, Michigan is able to share the good, the bad, and the ugly from its journey, so other states can plan with more information.
