Bio

Dr. Sarah J. Martin has been involved in Career and Technical Education (CTE) for over 35 years. Serving as a Marketing Education teacher in VA and TX schools. Dr. Martin moved into CTE administration in 1998 working as a Career Connections Specialist for the Maryland State Department of Education. Serving as a liaison between the State Department and the local education agencies, she provided guidance and support to the CTE directors across the state, specializing in Perkins’ legislation and state categorical funding.
In 2000, Dr. Martin returned to VA to serve as the CTE Administrative Coordinator for Virginia Beach City Public Schools. Over the course of her tenure, Dr. Martin was actively engaged in the VA Association of Career and Technical Education Administrators (VACTEA) professional organization, serving on the executive board for over 5 years.
Dr. Martin currently serves as the CTE Director for Prince William County Schools in Virginia.
