Bio

Rhonda Rhodes began her career in education teaching for fifteen years in both Salem-Keizer and in the Boston Public Schools. Her desire to make a larger impact on students in her local community inspired her to pursue education administration. In her seventh year as the principal of CTEC, she remains passionate about preparing students for exciting, high-paying, and rewarding careers. Rhonda enjoys the freedom she has to innovate, adapt to the needs of students and local industry, and create outcomes for students beyond anything she has seen in her career in public education. She is most proud of CTEC’s graduation and positive placement rates and most grateful for the powerful partnerships with the local business community and public agencies. This past year, she worked to expand CTEC’s offerings and create an even greater competitive advantage for students while combatting workforce shortages in local industry. The new Aviation Program located at the Salem Municipal Airport and the first-of-its-kind Behavioral Health and Human Services programs complement an already expansive offering of CTEC programs of study. In her spare time, she enjoys travel, martial arts, and spending time with her husband and their Bengal cats.
