Nicole Wanago


Bio

Nicole Wanago, Ph.D. is the Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) Teacher Educator at Montana State University. Throughout Nicole’s professional career, strengthening Career and Technical Education (CTE) has been her focus. Nicole’s professional career began with the development of the Take Charge Today (TCT) program, which focused on developing the financial capability and well-being of young adults by providing ready-to-teach, activity-based lesson plans and ongoing professional development for educators. This work sparked Nicole’s interest in content-area instruction and her graduate work in Language, Reading, and Culture, emphasizing Adolescent Literacy at the University of Arizona. Nicole earned her Ph.D. in Family and Consumer Sciences Education from Texas Tech University. Nicole’s research interest is enhancing the Critical Science Approach among Family and Consumer Sciences practitioners. Essential to this is creating inclusive environments where all learners thrive.
