Kevin Elliott
Bio
Dr. Kevin Elliott has been in the classroom for 28 years. The first 20 years of his career were at the secondary level teaching woodworking and construction courses. In 2014, he completed doctoral studies at the University of Missouri and transitioned to a role in post-secondary education. At Pittsburg State University (KS), he is involved in teacher education courses and the Kansas Center for Career and Technical Education. Dr. Elliott’s areas of research interest include teacher retention, training of substitute teachers, and safety. Teaching emphases include safety, project-based learning, classroom management, and facility design. Additionally, he has taught courses in teaching techniques, work-based learning, leadership, assessment, student organizations, and mentoring. His favorite aspect of teaching is helping students have success in their own classrooms and labs.
