Bio

Mr. Dan Delcher is the Agriculture Instructor for the Animal Science Program at Essex County - West Caldwell Tech Campus for the past 10 years. Mr. Delcher is a graduate of Delaware Valley University (2009) in Doylestown, PA with a Bachelors Degree in Secondary Education - Agriculture . He is a National Curriculum of Agricultural Science Education (CASE) Certified Instructor in seven different courses.Mr. Delcher serves as the West Caldwell Tech 4-H/FFA Advisor. Mr. Delcher is an active member of the Association for Career and Technical Education (ACTE); National Science Teaching Association (NSTA);National Association of Agricultural Educators (NAAE); New Jersey Association of Agricultural Educators (NJAAE); and New Jersey Science Teachers Association (NJSTA). He currently serves as the NJAAE Northern Region Vice President. Mr. Delcher was recognized by the US Environmental Protection Agency with the 2016 Presidents' Innovation Award for Environmental Educators. In 2020 & 2021, Mr. Delcher was recognized as the West Caldwell Tech Teacher of the Year, a Semi-Finalist for the NSTA Shell Science Award, and the NJ CTE Teacher of the Year. Mr. Delcher is a member of his district Work-Based Learning Team serving as a representative for Hazardous Occupations and manager of student safety certifications including OSHA-10 Hour Trainings and ServSafe Trainings.
