Bio

Dan Perna has been working in education for 50 years. Following his tenure as a classroom teacher, he went through the ranks of administration prior to opening his consulting firm, James Daniel & Associates, LLC. Through his consulting work, he has focused on the need to break down curriculum silos. Dr. Perna works with schools to recognize that academic and technical skills are learned through the simultaneous connection of academic and technical skills. He has authored four books focused on how to integrate academic skills necessary to learn technical content. He currently resides within 35 minutes of Penn State's Beaver Stadium.
