Bio

Dr. Chad Wilson is Superintendent of the East Valley Institute of Technology, a public career and technical education district with three central campuses serving high school and adult students in the suburbs east of Phoenix. Born and raised in Tucson, Dr. Wilson holds a doctoral degree in education policy and administration from the University of Arizona, a master's degree from Northern Arizona University, and a bachelor's from UofA. He has worked as a teacher, principal, associate superintendent, and superintendent. Dr. Wilson has been voted Best Education Leader multiple times by readers of the East Valley Tribune newspaper, and in 2022 was named by Arizona Capitol Times the Education Leader of the Year in Public Policy for his efforts to change state law to allow schools like EVIT to offer associate degrees and for securing $10 million in state funding to build a foster youth residential center at EVIT's Main Campus. Under Dr. Wilson's leadership, EVIT has embraced a mission to "change lives by loving our students and serving our community."
