Bio

Dr. Tiffany Barney is currently the Director of the Cobb Innovation & Technology Academy (CITA); she successfully opened CITA during the height of the pandemic. Prior to her appointment in Cobb County, she served as the CTAE Program Specialist for healthcare science, law and public safety, and cosmetology for the Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE). Barney transitioned to education after a career in athletic training working with high school, collegiate, and professional athletes. Dr. Barney has an impressive seven degrees. In 2017, she earned a PhD from the University of Georgia. Dr. Barney is passionate about providing avenues for students to become career ready.
