Kristin Vest is a veteran CTE educator with experiences teaching Family and Consumer Sciences and advising FCCLA in rural, suburban and urban public schools in Nebraska. She is a Past-President of LEAD FCS Education while serving as the State FCCLA Adviser and State FCS Administrator for the Nebraska Department of Education. She has served as a transitional and transformational leader through organizational changes as well as a state standards revision for Human Sciences and Education. Her work at the state and national levels earned Kristin the Outstanding Contributions Award from the ACTE FCS Division in 2021. Kristin currently supports the implementation of over twenty courses in Family and Consumer Sciences and Health Sciences serving 20 secondary schools and nearly 60 teachers for Lincoln Public Schools, Nebraska's second largest school district. Kristin and her husband are small business owners within the agricultural service industry. Away from work, Kristin is passionate about raising awareness to end diaper need in community through her service to the Junior League of Lincoln.
