Bio
With 27 years in education, Michelle has found her home in the career technical setting. She holds licensure in Elementary Education; Special Education; Curriculum, Instruction & Professional Development; and as a Superintendent. She has taught everything from elementary education to high school; special education to college; urban to rural/appalachian; and settled in six years ago as Superintendent at Springfield-Clark Career Technology Center. Michelle holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Education from Heidelberg College and a Masters of Education (Leadership) from the University of Queensland, Brisbane, in Queensland, Australia. She has begun work on her PhD with the intention of diving deeper into equity within the career technical setting. She hopes participants in this session catch the excitement and passion for the work being implemented in her district and can take away even a little nugget to implement within their own setting.
