Chad Maclin

Bio

Mr. Chad Maclin is the Director for Career and Technical Education for Chesterfield
County Public Schools in Chesterfield Virginia. His role includes the implementation of
the Carl D. Perkins Act, developing strategic partnerships, and postsecondary dual
enrollment expansions to all academic programs. He has 30 years in the CTE arena and
has served in all levels of education from classroom teacher to state leader.
Prior to joining CCPS, Mr. Maclin was the Director for Career and Technical Education
for the Office of the State Superintendent of Education in the District of Columbia,
Executive Director for the Foundation for Applied Technical Education, Inc., served as a
CTE program coordinator, school administrator, and teacher in Fairfax County Public Schools and Hillsborough County Public Schools. He has spent his career educating students, parents, and the community to the benefits of career and technical education.
