Bio

Jason Collar is an innovative, passionate, and engaging secondary school teacher at South
Junior High School in the Anaheim Union High School District (AUHSD). He holds credentials in
History, English, and earned his CTE credential in Information and Communication Technology
earlier this year. Mr. Collar currently serves in the roles of Community Schools Teacher Lead,
Club Live advisor, Intramural and Esports coach, as well as civic lead. He recently authored a
game-based learning course using Minecraft Education which will begin in 2023-2024 for
AUHSD. He earned both his BA and MA in History at California State University Fullerton and is
currently working towards his National Board Certification.
