Bio

Mr. Penning is the Academic Coordinator of Industrial Technology at St. Charles Community College (MO.) Pat also teaches Manufacturing courses and “MegaTech,” a dual enrollment course that offers both college and high school credit. MegaTech is a career navigation and exploration course designed to expose students to the wealth of opportunities surrounding Manufacturing and Industrial Technology. The course focuses on “work readiness” and offers students opportunities to earn several Industry Recognized Credentials. Pat holds a master’s degree in education from Arkansas State University, a B.A. in Industrial Technology Education from Lindenwood University and a plus thirty certificate from Southeast Missouri State University. He holds certifications from NC3, MSSC and OSHA. Additionally, Pat has a background in residential construction and automotive technology. He served as the Practical Arts Department Chair, taught Project Lead the Way Engineering and Industrial Technology classes for 18 years in the Hazelwood School district prior to joining SCC.
