Bio

Mark Jones is in his tenth year as the Supervisor of Career and Technical Education (CTE) for Roanoke County Public Schools. He began teaching CTE courses in 1996 and has taught a variety of different courses ranging from Construction Technology to Engineering. Mark has also been a licensed Emergency Medical Technician in Virginia since 1997, and served as Chief of Catawba - Masons Cove Volunteer Rescue Squad for nearly 8 years. He views CTE as a key to making students “opportunity ready” through relevant, engaging and purposeful learning.
